Inbound Logistics, a division of Xometry, seeks an experienced business content editor. Inbound Logistics is a content platform that spans magazines, web, e-newsletters, apps, podcasts, social media, and others.

The person in this role needs to be problem solver, someone who can juggle a lot of different tasks at one time. They also need to be leader, planner, and strategic thinker, who can wear a lot of different hats. You might need to be a blogger today, a podcaster tomorrow, or a videographer the next day. No matter what you might be doing on any given day, you’re also the one responsible for making decisions and providing input as to how and what the team should be focusing on from a content perspective, which these days ultimately drives just about every aspect of marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships with content partners, advertisers, associations, through survey outreach and content offerings.
  • Work with sales team to create unique content solutions for advertising clients.
  • Execute and oversee strategic content development (ie, in addition to editorial for magazine editions, things like whitepapers, podcasts, videocasts, webinars, social channels, blogs, vlogs, strategic and marketing communications)
  • Serve as on-air personality for all sponsored video podcasts and other video content.
  • Develop ways to repurpose and reuse content across multiple platforms and content types to maximize editorial expenditures.
  • Determine multi-platform content strategies that help to boost audience engagement and drive advertising revenue.
  • Utilize research, analytics, and industry trends to enhance engagement and retention across multiple platforms (tracking effectiveness, etc.)
  • Develop and lead a social media strategy that considers both platform strengths and multiple audiences.
  • Help manage production flow and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with content team to create/manage editorial and content calendars.
  • Collaborate with content team to determine content and topics for magazine editions and other platforms.
  • Develop and deploy surveys to get audience feedback and collect data for market research.
  • Help manage production of annual content guide.
  • Write, edit, proofread content as needed.
  • Miscellaneous content related projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of job-related experience in content strategy, content marketing, communications, publishing, or other editorial roles
  • Proven ability to lead editorial strategies and teams.
  • Experience with researching, writing, and editing materials.
  • Creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community,
  • Ability to adapt style and to write to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously, while managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to work with a team as well as independently and to be proactive in seeking solutions to challenges.
  • Experience in working in a writing and design environment preferred.
  • Ability to strategically conceive of and execute communication strategies to most effectively cultivate and steward donors.
  • Demonstrated understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
